This book, 7 Keys to Love, took thirty years to write. I remember when Sandy Hinden showed me his manuscript of 800 pages of his collection of quotes on love in 1978. I referred him to my literary agent, who told Sandy it would be too expensive to publish in that format. Ten years later, Sandy proceeded to rewrite Love’s Journey, as he called it then, and again twenty years later in this current form. It is a book that will show the people of the world why love is so important as a process for personal and global transformation. The world and humanity have always needed love and need love more now than ever.
As a former Assistant Secretary-General, and Cofounder and Chancellor of the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica, Sandy would write to me and we would exchange ideas and encouragement. Sandy is a very exceptional human being, entirely devoted to a better, ideal world. I have known him for more than thirty years. He constantly inspired me for my work and efforts at the United Nations. He had ceaseless great ideas and encouraged me to not give up. He once collected the epithets given to me over the years by various people and institutions, and I once submitted an application for him to work at the United Nations and believed he would have been precious capital for philanthropic organizations or for a major newspaper. I would have been so happy see him in charge of a major newspaper section on good news and happiness for the people. He would have been very precious for a major philanthropic organization, especially one dealing with internationally problems. I am happy he continues to create projects for humankind and does workshops to facilitate human beings becoming the most they can be individually, and as creative and loving partners and couples.
I hope every teacher in the world will read 7 Keys to Love. It is the textbook for teaching children and parents how to create Paradise Earth, which I firmly believe is possible on our magnificent planet so blessed with beauty and life in this vast and wondrous universe. Sandy Hinden has been my devoted friend for thirty years. What a wonderful, loving friend he has been. I am so happy he now shares loves’ journey with you as 7 Keys to Love. I hope everyone in the United Nations will read this book.

In my work as a global public relations consultant, working closely with business, nonprofit organizations, governments and the United Nations, I can say that no one on this planet is more efficient or works harder than Sandy Hinden, for his causes and his clients. Whoever has him on their team is indeed fortunate as he creates and inspires miracles for their dream and cause.
When I read this manuscript of 7 Keys to Love I thought it was excellent, and I encouraged Sandy to publish the book. As a past President of the Book Publicists in California, I saw that 7 Keys to Love would be the next a hot topic after Eckhart Tolle’s book A New Earth. I thought this book would be great for Oprah’s audience to read. On page 72 of A New Earth—Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose, Eckhart Tolle says: “. . . all your actions and relationships will reflect the oneness with all life that you sense deep within. This is love. Laws, commandments, rules and regulations are necessary for those who are cut off from who they are, the Truth within. . . .” And, “Love and do what you will,” says St. Augustine. Words cannot get much closer to the Truth than that. Love is the answer and yes, Sandy won’t let us forget that. As an Advisory Board Member of the beautiful La Casa de Maria Retreat Center in Santa Barbara, I see his Communications Skills for Conscious Partners & Couples Workshop that includes 7 Keys to Love as a must for all.
I knew about Sandy since I met Robert in 1994. I remember Robert speaking about him and meeting him at the United Nations for Robert’s press conference and book signing. I met him again when he came from New York to visit us in Santa Barbara. He created a graphic for Robert’s eighty-fourth birthday that was so beautiful. We were thrilled to see it as it had so many elements of Robert’s sixty-year United Nations career woven together, including working closely with Secretary-Generals Dag Hammarskjold and U-Thant, whose pictures are in the graphic.Sandy, and his son Joseph were at the bottom of the graphic sharing their love for Robert. And now dear readers, you too will experience a new depth of love when you read 7 Keys to Love.
