Overcoming an Obsession about Money

RICH,
YET OBSESSED
WITH MONEY?

The first step in helping a person overcome his or her obsession with money (being selfish or greedy) is to compassionately help them ACCEPT they are obsessed about money (or something else:
love, sex, porn, buying, shopping, collecting, hording, clothes, shoes, moving, travel, food, drugs, alcohol, fast driving, media, germs, cleanliness, power, control, conflict, bullying, firing people, or fast driving).
Don't have fights about it...

As they gradually and compassionately ACCEPT they have a money obsession, it will fade away...

It can't be forced away...

As with all obsessions, fighting about it, or forcefully trying to not think about it, can strengthen it...

Deep and compassionate acceptance helps it heal...
It could take 6 months for an obsession to fade away… be super-relaxed and patient… never fight about it… that becomes part of the reinforcement of the obsession… like feeding fuel to a fire... the person is getting a charge out of the fight…

Overcoming obsessions about money, or anything, is a gentle process...

Be compassionate with the other or yourself... it takes time for an obsession to weaken and fade away...

Acceptance, self-love, self-kindness are key...

Re-find your inner peace each day... take 10 minutes to meditate... have a conversation with your
inner sage, inner wise one, higher power...

Say to yourself:

I am
the possibility of being

clear and relaxed...

I breathe and am calm...
